To make the "perfect" (as if there is such a thing) showpig like the gilt that was reserve at Expo this year the gilt/sow needs to have some frame size. Now she doesn't have to be huge framed but if she is smail framed the litters tend to be moderate in frame (which now days is actually preferred). The gilt doesn't need to be super heavy muscled because he will up the level but if you put him on a heavy muscled sow he will even intensify it more. Finally, to be 100% honest he is sound as a pound but if the gilt/sow is not he doesn't always correct it I hope that helps if you have anymore questions just ask!!!!
