HEAT CYCLES

WE HAVE A SOW AND TWO GILTS,THEY ARE ALL ON DIFFERENT CYCLES,HOW CAN WE GET THEM ON THE SAME DATES SO WHEN WE ORDER SEMEN,WE DONT HAVE TO PAY SHIPPING COST ON THREE ORDERS?

u can use pg600 or matrix on them and get them to cycle at the same time?

Jay, then how would you set it up with the pg600 and Matrix,how much of each and for how long? How soon would they come in so I could order semen?

PG 600: Vaccine offers fast return (within 3-10 days) to heat after weaning for sows and brings prepubertal gilts (5 1/2 months of age and weighing at least 185 lb) into heat and helps group your gilts. Improves breeding performance in hot weather months.
Give 5 mL of reconstituted solution into neck behind the ear. Should be given immediately after reconstituting.

MATRIX: is a synthetic progestagen, the only product of its kind on the market for the suppression and synchronization of estrus.
Progesterone is a naturally occurring steroid hormone in the swine estrous cycle with the primary function of maintaining pregnancy. MATRIX can reduce normal biological variations in reproduction and improve production efficiency.
Apply 6.8 mL of MATRIX directly to each gilts feed once every day, for 14 consecutive days. Gilts should come into estrus 4-9 days after the removal of MATRIX from their diet.

Jay,thanks for your assistence,on the gilts if We give them both shots after 14 days of Matrix,they should come in about the same time with in the 4-9 days? Where is the best place to purchase both items? different subject any opinion on Frankstein or Got Milk @ triple B genetics,and Heat seeker and Griswald @ Coyote Farms?

Jay,it worked both gilts came in like you advised how to do it w/ the Mattrix and pg600,Lean Value had an off season sale buy 4 and get 2 free,so I bred both gilts to a Hedgehog york boar on my crossbred gilts.If they took I'll know by the first week in Jan.

I have two gilts that I have been trying to breed for almost two months...Gave them the 14 day Matrix, and they didn't come in heat. Would love to get them bred this month, but running out of options.

Try a shot of pg 600 & they should come in in around 5 to 7 days.

How long after I weene my sow will she come into heat? I weened her Wednesday and started using boar spray on Saturday but no signs yet. She doesn't care for the boar spray at all at this point. Any thoughts?
