Both of these bred gilts are from my Crossbow sow one is from her first litter and the other form the second litter. I have posted a video of the super freak gilt but not from the strike it rich, but they are both very similar. I might sell them depending on how good of sows they are if I do I might ask from $250 to $450 for them and no I don’t know of anyone else selling bred gilts and at the price you want to pay is going to be hard. Good luck

I have a excellent Blue Butt sow. She’s sure to produce the tremendous show pigs you need! Right now she exposed to a champion Belted / Hamp boar who produced the grand champion AND reserve grand champion gilts for the past two years at the Hunt County livestock show / fair. Just like the sow, he’s broad and muscular.

Both, the sow and boar display great conformation, muscling, and disposition.

Feel free to contact us anytime. she set to sell at $300

You can call: 903-272-9628 or 903-439-8198

Dude $1300 and $900 what are they champion pigs purchased at Duncan or Belton!!! man thats to much money to be asking for your hogs..you say you have had the crossbow produce 3 litters and you still havent produced a good boar from her how are you breeding her that even for your self you havent stayed with a boar.the gilt in the video looks over weight and to low bodied and when she walks she looks kind of toed out.

i bought 3 breed sows from Port Lavaca a month ago for $1200 i will see how they produce in the show ring on March at our county show..

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! Dude what are you a joke look at the quality of my gilts and the boars that I used are some of the best boars out there, shit I had very good offers for the super freak and as an open gilt. I hate when people open there mouth without knowing the facts. As for my crossbow sow I would say she is one of the best crossbow sow’s out there. Now you say she hasn’t produced a good boar well just ask Aguilar show pigs they have on of her boars o yea and also ask the people they sold semen too because we are just getting good comment on him and breeders wanting to breed to him again. Get your shit strait brother because people like you give this business a bad name.

You said you bought 3 bred sows for $1,200 you probably bought the breeders leftovers from last season just bred. So sad. Why don’t you post pictures of those bred gilts.

well Johnny just let me put my two cents in this post? i dont want to start a war since the show pig community is one HUGE FAMILY who back each other up and use this website to inform and become informed in this industry. We As Adults and the Breeders we are we help each other out and NEVER under any circumstance do WE put a fellow breeder down to make our selfs better.

I'am the Proud Owner of the ONLY boar out there from this Crossbow Sow and let me tell you that he is turning out to be a very hot comodity for south texas. he has been bred to 5 sows of diffrent breeds and he has proven to be a consistant boar providing the offsprings with what we thought he would do...lots of rib, plenty of bone, extremely structured.so just keep your head up cause there's some heading your way to compete at Your County Show!!So see you in the show ring with our Superbow Pigs!! ohh and dont forget your hanky cause your gonna cry once you get beat by these hogs you will now what we are talking about..

check his litter out on our website at www.aguilarshowpigs.com oh and the boar is there as well his photo doesnt do him justice due to him being straight out of his pen while working breeding our gilts/sows.. Oh and by the way he has been on a 14% sow feed since the day he was weaned and never had any supplements what so ever..

@ Jay i know where your coming from saying were 1 huge family in this business but you have to say RGV is really asking to much for them i payed the same price for 3 sows already bred for the same price he is selling 1 for. i have seen the boar in your website and he looks really good in the picture the litter you have posted is that out of the boar you have..as by me crying when you beat me at my own county show i dont think so i have gilts being brought to me from iowa and thery tell me they are the best the breeder had up there.so just bring it 1st you will have to find or sel hogs inthe zapata are..

@ RGV well i still think you have your pigs over priced.and i would sell that super freak gilt and get a better structured gilt that keep a gilt that is toed in.i havent seen you post any pictures of the crossbow sow you brang about i wonder how she looks that you havent posted and pictures of her..1 boar out of 3 litters i wouldnt brang to much about that either..

Ok. I am not coming to anyones defense here but I do have an opinion on the presented matters previously posted. Price is not everything guys. But $1200 and $900 really does not sound like a lot. Lets place this in dollar amount and say that each gilt/sow farrows 10 pigs per litter, to me that might sound like a bargain. Deals are done every day and maybe you can go and buy 3 sows for $1200 and who is to say, maybe these animals are worth more than that. It all depends on your breeders confidence or selling base that they have.

My point in all this is that, dollar amounts are just dollar amounts and at the end of the day, it doesnt matter. Check out gold standard and how much he sold vs his siring ability or back in history when Barracuda at Rory Duelms was bought for merely nothing and left a legacy. Prices are relative to its owner. But paying less and getting a bargain is not always good either. You might have to turn around and ask yourself why the breeder sold his breeding stock to you for so cheap, because if they were really that good, than why would he not have priced them a bit higher. Lastly, the further you go to purchase up north does not mean anything. People down here from the valley go all over the country to purchase animals and guess what, at the end of the day, the valley breeders come out on top.

For Everyone .. remember that constructive critism can go further than critism alone. There are forums out on the web that are known for consecutive posts and replies such as these posts and I know for a fact that this website (championshowpigs.com) has been able to avoid all this and stay true to its roots. Take adavantage of all the advice on this forum and learn. Sure every once and awhile someone gets offended, but remember that you represent yourself on these forums and just because we as people are not face to face does not mean that credibility and accountability for your actions does not come in to play. Remember that we all run around the same circle and it would stink if at the end of the day we found out that the person posting such a bad comment or response was a nice person that we could have gotten along with.

Keep it clean guys:lol:

A price is a price you know what you are willing to spend if its high you walk away. I know what guys spend on there show barrows up here in the panhandle. I have had to travel lots of miles and look at lots of animals to purchase our breeding and show stock. In fact i know all of us have. To tell you the truth some of my best show barrows were purchased in south texas and the valley.

Ok you asked for bred gilt and for offers that where out there I sent you my offer and you want to criticize it in that case you should have posted looking for cheap bred gilts. The reason I priced them at that price is because they are the best gilts out of the 2 litter the crossbow sow has given me and are very powerful to make excellent market hogs.

I sent out that same video to a lot of reputable breeders in this industry that became good friends of mine when I met them up at the South west type conference; and the one thing they loved was her structure and how good she carries all her mass. So you saying that she is toed in and not as good structured really shows what you know lol lol SO SAD =(

As for my crossbow sow you still don’t know the facts she has put out a boar for Aguilar show pigs from the first litter and another boar from the second litter stands at a farm in Raymondville, TX and his hogs are about to hit the ground. She has her third litter on her and has one hell of a little prospect boar on her. Now you say I haven’t put pictures of her well I have a facebook page under RGV Show Pigs so the entire world can see my stock. But here they are I got nothing to hide because she is a hell of a sow, as a mater of fact I invited the Ag teacher from Raymondville over to come look at my piglets and the first thing he said was “this sow sets her feet really well and she is really nice” so I know I got a hell of a foundation sow.

Here is my Crossbow sow

here is my Strike it rich Gilt bred

here is the Super Freak gilt bred

and here is the second boar that stands at Reymond

I got nothing to hide bro now I would like to see the gilts you bought .
