well i have read all the problems some of you breeders have had this couple of weeks and was wondering what theis meds you all are using for and how much do you all give them..
1.)what to give them to come in to estrus when you dont see them cycle???
2.) Ocytocin whats it for ???
3.) Lute what does it do ???
4.) whats the difference of cc and ml ??
5.) where should you inject your hog the easier way ??
Thank you all for your help just want to get prepared if i will ever need to use any of this meds.

Lutalyse is used to induce a pigs labor alot use it to keep the sows from going over theyre due date to prevent the babies inside from growing to big and causing complications for the sows.

Oxytocin is used to stimulate contraction in a sow that is in labor. after the sow has had a few pigs you can give them a shot of oxytocin and it will keep them contracting and pushing rather than getting whore out and taking long breaks in between pigs born.

We inject our hogs in two different spots intermuscular. Majority of the time we inject our in the neck and have also injected into the ham muscle. either way is just as efective as the other.

Pg 600 is used on immature young gilts that have yet to have theyre first estrus cycle, however if the gilt has allready matured and begun to cycle PG600 will do nothing for you. Alot of big herd and commercial breeders use MATRIX in theyre herd to syncronize gilts and sows cycles to get them to cycle at the same time for them to farrow all at the same time.

Oh depending on how small the piglets are some hold them up by the back legs and inject around...is it called the elbow?...anyways it's the place where the leg goes into the body...oh so new at pigs....LOL
