Ivomec Orally?

We have two show pigs and are about 40 days out from the show. Can we give Ivomec 1% injection but orally for the treatment of worms? How many cc's would we give? I have found some say 1ml per every 50 pounds and other say 1ml per 75 pounds. We are weighing 187 and 197. any help would be great! We are trying to stay away from injections... they cause so much stress for me and the hogs Smile

Yes you can give oral 1cc per 75lbs. We rotate our wormer we use dectomax one month then safeguard the next and we give it oral.

If you give oral, it's a longer withdrawl period.

How long is the withdrawal for orally giving ivermectin? Wormed my pigs with Atgard when I
bought them, but they are showing symptoms again of being infested:cry:. Show is in 3 weeks.

I think it's like 45 days?????
