PostSubject: Show Barrow with kick   22nd January 2013, 9:26 am

We are 47 days from show and have a really nice cross. He weighs 180lbs. and is heavily muscled , looks really nice from chest to rump. He does however have a kick in his hind legs when walking. Doesn't seen to bother him while exercising , but defenitely needs an easier stride.

He is exercised daily and on Fluid Flex 1oz 2x daily.Feed intake below.

2x daily

3lbs honors 709

1 cup depth charge

1- cup heavy weight

1oz - flex meds

He devours everything , nothing left after feeding. Any recommendations?

Didn't get much help from the board , so I will tell you what we have done to correct the problem.
We reduced protein intake and began using Glide along with the Fluid Flex.
Barrow is now sitting at 210 lbs and is walking much smoother. Below is our daily feed and we will not change until 14 days out. By the way , he has softened up , but still looks great and has really filled in nicely from chest to rump.
2x daily feed / 2x daily exercise 10-15 minutes
1.5lbs honor 709
1.5 lbs yellow cornmeal
1 cup depth charge
.5oz Fluid Flex
1 dose Glide
Hope this may help someone in the future.
