 Mixing oats?

Hi, I see my ag teacher mixes oats in his show pigs feeds. he wins every year. What does oats do to a pig? Should I mix oats in my hogs feed as well?

oats are a filler you feed oats wen holding a pig or wen a pig needs to be fuller in the belly
